Nine RPTRAs in Thousand Islands will Be Temporarily Closed

Nine child-friendly playgrounds (RPTRA) in six urban villages in Thousand Islands will be closed to visitors temporarily starting on December 25, 31 and January 1.

Thousand Islands Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-agency Head Rizki Hamid said, it referred to the Governor Instruction number 64/2020 on Controlling Community Activities in the Prevention of COVID-19 during Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021 Holidays.

"It is done to prevent the COVID-19 and to avoid the crowd during public holiday," he said, Wednesday (12/23).

Nevertheless, as long as it is closed, RPTRA officers would continue to conduct maintenance and cleanliness of existing facilities in the RPTRA area.
